Schenk eddy current dynamometers

In engine testing, eddy-current dynamometers are used as load units for the test specimen.

Features

The W-series dynamometer stands out because it has the following features:
  • High speeds for testing engines of passenger cars
  • High torques at very low speeds for commercial vehicle engines
  • Low inertia at high power
  • Suitable for two rotating directions
  • High measuring accuracy due to contact-free speed measurement via pulse generator as well as torque measurement via load cell
  • Easy maintenance due to Schenck patented flexures
